Christmas Eve & Day

We spent Christmas at home this year, celebrating Christmas Eve out to dinner with Arthur and Christmas Day on Lawson Rd with the 8 Walkers, Suzanne, Lisa, Savannah, and Nonster. It was so special to spend one last holiday with our Nonster.

We had a lot of laughs, the biggest of which may have been when Ouiser ran into the room to report to Casey about Mardo's antics in the toy room turning the volume way up on the TV. "Momma! Liam turned the TV super hard...and super....inflated!" We were all impressed by how sophisticated her 2-year-old vocabulary is (just like Mardo who laughs with Ouiser then they're caught "squabbling").

Dad's Birthday and a Ski Day

Dad turned 70 right before Christmas and we kept asking him what he wanted to do for his birthday. He mostly evaded this line of questioning but a few days beforehand he proclaimed, "Why can't I just have a pizza party with Liam and Louise?" As it turned out, his children ended up being invited and I learned from him that the location would be my house. We ordered pizza, turkey sandwiches, and salad from Brewer's Fork and it was delicious as always. After celebrating Dad, a few days later Stephanie and I headed up to Loon for our second trip of the season and our first ski day.

Bruins from a Box

At my holiday party Mags asked if I had plans one evening later that week and luckily I didn't because she invited me to go with her, Pete, Luke, and Mags to the Bruins game in her company's box. Stephanie, Mum, and Dad were also at the game and we all ended up hanging out in the box to watch the game. The Bruins lost to the Oilers but it was such a treat to spend time with Sophie while she was home from Dublin and it was cool to see McDavid and Draisaitl play.

Nutcrackers, Gingerbread, and Upside-down Christmas Trees

The first half of December, as usual, was busy with holiday activities including Stephanie's work holiday party, my holiday party, and making gingerbread houses at Stephanie's house. Fun fact: Stephanie's nutcracker collection includes 9 soldiers, which Mardo and Ouiser arranged nicely for this photo op.
