March at Home

Apart from our mid-month trip to Arizona for Spring Training, I spent the majority of March at home. In the photo above, Meredith, Stephanie, Suzanne, and Lisa stopped by the house for a lovely visit. Meredith and Stephanie were in Winchester for a funeral so we made a plan to get together afterwards. They hadn't seen the house since the 90s so it was fun to talk about everyone's memories of the house throughout the years. I'm so glad we remembered to get a photo together!

Spring Training

"It never rains here!" we've been told multiple times by Arizona locals, having expected sun and pool time and instead encountered chilly clouds and rain. Despite our unfortunate weather luck, we loved being back for the Cactus League games and enjoyed staying in Scottsdale for a change (usually we stay in Phoenix). A highlight was when the spot Stephanie chose for dinner ended up being the "#1 girls celebration spot" in town, meaning it was entirely pink, decorated with thousands of fake roses, and full of bachelorette parties. Our foursome stood out like a sore thumb with our mostly blue clothing and dude (Dad) in tow. The people watching was a 10/10 and we all thought it was hilarious.

A Bruins Month

Stephanie jokes that I have a 'Bruins drawer' (and I sort of do, where one of the drawers of my bed primarily stores Bruins gear). This made think of February as my 'Bruins month' since I went to 3 games in that 4-week period. On Saturday February 1st, Dad and I each had extra tickets and he invited Luke to the balcony seats and Ashley and I sat in the rafters to see them play the Rangers. Then, on the 25th for the Maple Leafs game Dad and I sat in the balcony and met up with William and Giller between periods. Finally, Luke and I went on the 27th and met up with Ashley and Eric who were also at the game (vs. the Islanders). Unfortunately, the Bruins lost all 3 of those games, so maybe I was a bad luck charm?

A Wintry Walk

A walk in the Reading woods followed by lunch at a "fancy restaurant" (read: Public Kitchen) is one of our favorite weekend activities. On this day the woods were snowy so we were bundled from head to toe.
